Getting my 1st job in Malta as a Brazilian student

My Internship Experience as a Brazilian student

Step out of your comfort zone.

Leaving your country is incredibly difficult; you have to be truly brave to leave behind everything you know and everyone familiar to you.

You pack your life into a suitcase of less than 25kg and start over in a country with a new language, a new home, a new neighborhood, and new people.

Everything you knew before, you now have to relearn.

It is profoundly challenging, but I wouldn't trade this experience for anything. My journey so far has been incredible, and I want to share it with you so you can understand that no matter your age or your current situation, everything happens for a reason. If you step out of your comfort zone, you will experience things you never imagined possible.

The Awakening of a Dream

Living in Europe has always been a huge dream for me and my husband. When we finally started planning to make it happen, it was hands down the best decision we ever made. Experiencing all of this together has been incredible!

Being here in Malta, surrounded by so much history, that endless blue sea, and such a cool culture, makes me feel more grateful than I can put into words.

But I knew that if I wanted to turn this dream into my real life, I needed to do more than just be a tourist and take pictures of the beautiful buildings.

I was looking for new opportunities that I probably wouldn't find back home.

I knew I had to roll up my sleeves and build a professional foundation here.

Where It All Began: The Power of Initiative

My story with English Path started as a student.

When I finished my English course, I felt that it was only the beginning. With great determination, I decided to approach the school not as a student, but as a professional.

In Brazil we normally say: “I already had the ‘no,’ so I decided to chase the ‘yes.’”

I presented my professional background, my marketing knowledge, and a huge desire to contribute.

The school was extremely welcoming from the beginning, even when I was a student. They believed in my potential and offered me the opportunity to join their internship program.

Hands-on Experience and Purpose

Today, I provide full assistance to the marketing department. In my daily routine, I help with strategic tasks that give me a real insight into how the European market works.

Working in a multicultural environment at English Path teaches me how to communicate with the world, adapting strategies and learning the dynamics of an international company.

This is marketing in practice, driven by passion.

An Unforgettable Chapter: My Heart at English Path

Being in another country is a challenge that goes far beyond the language. It's about courage, adaptation and, above all, about the people who cross our path.

Today, I want to dedicate this space to talking about an experience that transformed my journey in Europe: my time at English Path.

More than a school, a welcome.

From the first day, the feeling was one of gratitude. I felt truly welcomed, welcomed, and blessed. Do you know that fear of being away from home? It disappeared when I met people who understand exactly how difficult life is in another country.

If there is a definition for a humanized school, it is English Path.

They don't just teach; they care. They look at the student (and the intern) with empathy and humanity.

During my internship, I learned lessons that books don't teach. I had mentors and colleagues who taught me incredible things that I will now keep in my heart forever.

“Working here was not just about tasks and processes, but about being part of a team that believes in everyone's potential.”

Thank you very much!

Thank You

I want to thank everyone at English Path immensely for welcoming me as part of the team.

Thank you for allowing me to grow alongside you and for making my journey in Europe even more special.

With all my Love,

Nicolly Steffany C. Araujo
